![]() Of everyone I interacted with, this is the group that I'll miss. IT Dept-some really smart people here, from developers to the network administrator, and great assets to the company. They also don't micromanage, which is fantastic. Work/life-the management holistically is very good about work-life balance, and understanding of most situations that arise as a result of life happening. Specialized industry-they have room to grow, and are working on new product ventures in new industries. This is a newer company/startup.you have a chance to come in and make an impact, especially within a smaller group, and drive success. Here's my honest assessment:Ĭulture.they have a family-type culture, relaxed and tight. ![]() I was there for approximately five months, and contributed a lot in that time. I'll keep this as succinct and thorough as I can. Overall, although not the most creatively engaging job I’ve ever had, it is one of the best companies I have ever worked for and I don’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone. The hardest thing can sometimes be staying interested in the day to day (especially in a production job), but then that could be said of most jobs. It can be stressful (with mandatory overtime and PTO blackouts) at the Holidays, but people maintain a great attitude and don’t take it out on each other. The pay and benefits, at least in my field, far outstrip what could be found anywhere else. It’s a great place for someone who’s played the corporate game and doesn’t care to do that again. It’s a good place for growing and learning if you are young. We not big enough to have tiers of role levels and various job bands like a big corporation might have. Being small and still growing, the opportunities aren’t necessarily there for immediate advancement, but people do get promoted and move up. It’s a friendly environment with a good culture. At the same time, there is no discrimination against hiring more “seasoned” (I do mean older) workers. It’s a great starter company for someone fresh into the workplace. I’m at the tail end of my career and having worked many types of jobs in many types of organizations can recommend Legacy Touch. ![]() I can walk into the office of any of the VP's on any given day and they are happy to take 5 minutes to answer a question, talk through - more. ![]() The executive team at Legacy Touch is available, approachable and committed to the success of not just the company, but the employees as well. I could keep going and going, but the point is, this is the kind of place you want to come to work. Above all, the culture at Legacy Touch is a caring culture - where new employees are personally welcomed by the CEO where managers not only understand that "life happens" but make sure you're doing ok where employees are invited to "spin the wheel" and take home prizes, just because where unexpected cost savings are immediately reinvested in upgrading the healthcare package and other employee benefits where taking time to mingle, chat and get to know the other employees isn't just encouraged, it's actually scheduled…and snacks are provided it's a place where ideas and contributions are both solicited and acknowledged, both privately and publicly. ![]() Fun, while at the same time focused on continuing the impressive year over year growth they've experienced. Relaxed, yet everyone there is genuinely invested in making the company better by doing their job well. I've seen my share and the culture at Legacy Touch is as positive and healthy and balanced as any I've come across. The importance of company culture - in my view - cannot be overstated. My experience at Legacy Touch has been - and continues to be - fantastic at every level. ![]()

Pixar film, Monsters, Inc.), to an abominable snowman-like creature, among others.Instead, Ralph wasn't a human at all: he was a beast, with designs ranging from a red furry monster (very similar to the overall character theme of Sulley from the Disney Ralph went through an evolution of designs, and was not always an oversized human with abnormally large fists and feet. However, writer Phil Johnston believed that the story of Ralph trying to become a bigger person - a hero - would be more compelling, and thus the roles of these two characters were switched. In the earliest versions of the story, Ralph was a supporting character, with Fix-It Felix Jr. Ralph was inspired by Donkey Kong, the villain of the 1981 arcade game of the same name. Suffering from a classic case of "bad guy fatigue" and hungry for a little "wreck-ognition", Ralph embarks on a wild adventure across an incredible arcade game universe to prove that just because he's a bad guy doesn't mean he's a "bad guy". But it's getting harder and harder to love his job when no one seems to like him for doing it. For 30 years, he's been doing his job as the bad guy in the arcade game Fix-It Felix Jr. Official Description Ralph is a heavy-handed "wrecking riot" with a heart. After enduring this mistreatment for thirty years, Ralph found it increasingly difficult to enjoy his job. He was also feared by other denizens of the arcade, who opted to stay away from Ralph whenever he was about. Because of his role as the bad guy of his game, however, he was ostracized by the inhabitants of Niceland and was forced to live in the town's dump with his stump and bricks, as opposed to the quaint apartment building with the other citizens. Once the building is repaired in the end, the Nicelanders throw Ralph off the top of the building, sending him falling into a puddle of mud below.Īfter hours, Ralph is warm-hearted and friendly, albeit with a temper. ![]() ![]() Ralph shouts out, "I'm gonna wreck it!" and begins to demolish the building while Fix-It Felix Jr. In Fix-It Felix Jr.-an 8-bit video game in Litwak's Arcade-Ralph serves as the villain, with a vendetta against the residents of Niceland for constructing an apartment building over his forest home and relegating him to the dump. ![]() ![]() ![]() And it's almost always more offensive if someone wants to be creative in using swear words. But others can choose to agree or disagree. Occasionally people think it funny to pretend to be rude, whether they are pretending to be in the ruder or more normal group. Without context, I can't know what is supposed to be funny. It was common for some small online games to sell virtual goods to broadcast a message to everyone online.) Basically it was the norm of certain groups of especially rude people. (That's 10 years ago and I don't know how it is like now. 草 makes me think of some rude gamers who didn't want to talk friendly and just want to be rude, and appears either uneducated or too lazy to choose a character. And the closest equivalents are all "fuck" instead of something like "f***". ![]() So, technically, 肏/草/操 all mean the same. It's really the human instinct to want to know how to write such a common word. Teenagers could easily discover such characters, and find them funny at first, while someone on the Internet wants everything to be perfect and right and pretend that this don't normally happen. 操 is more likely to be banned as it is more common.Īnd I don't think people don't recognize it. And 肏 is especially strong as it could be considered closer to the original. Basically every non-trival modification to the common usages without an obvious reason implies you are more likely thinking about its original meaning, and is likely more offensive. But saying "肏" is like saying "fuck" and add a note that "fuck" originally means to have sex intercourse with someone, while the person who swears usually isn't thinking about this at all. Firstly, I don't think it's common to ban 肏. ![]() ![]() ![]() Megaphone TV requires an up-to-date web browser with Adobe Flash Player installed and enabled. Also though I could use it in Ubuntu, I couldn’t use the newest version (5.6.5 and luckily I still had an older version saved 5.0.1). I got the CRX files from the author’s site. Something about their extension violates several site policies so isn’t allow in the store. I often use the FVD downloader, which used to be in the store but no longer though oddly enough their own site refers to the store with the link to install it from there. To the extent of off Google added extensions. There are a few extensions that don’t seem to work in Chromium so I used others that did a similar or better job like the simple pop-up blocker extension wouldn’t work properly in Chromium so I used “Safe Script”, which is basically like Firefox’s, “No Script”. When my computer is down, I use a Linux based machine (Ubuntu) and I set it up like my Windows one with Chrome / Chromium and all the extensions I use in Windows. I’m wondering why are they singling out Windows users instead of chopping them all off. And this can excuse an authoritarian lock-down on user choices, which I dislike quite a lot. There is a real and fairly well-documented security risk that Microsoft, Apple, Google, Mozilla, (and others on the Linux side, with their approved-application repositories) are all trying to address. Heck, the use of secure boot via uefi addresses exactly the same dilemma at the operating system level: it restricts choice of operating systems to those which are “approved” by the secure boot programming. Executables from untrusted sources are even more risky than untrusted apps and extensions, but control of that ecosystem has long passed from anyone’s control. In the broad sense, this dilemma has been around as long as PCs. Isn’t this exactly what Microsoft does with Modern apps? And what Apple does for iOS apps? There are workarounds for both - eg, registry tweaks in Windows or jailbreaking iOS - but the issues seem the same: the corporation attempts to disallow installation of unvetted apps or browser extensions poses a security risk. While it is possible to switch to an unaffected channel or operating system, it is likely that this will impact extension developers who cannot host their extension in the official store significantly. Since it creates the policies, it controls which extensions users can install and which they won't be able to install. The move gives Google full control over the extension offerings for the browser. So why is Google making that change? It is true that this will block most malicious extension installations provided that those extensions won't be accepted in the Chrome Web Store.īut that is only half of it. A file browser opens that you use to pick the folder of the extracted extension. What you need to do here is download the Chrome extension. The easier one of the two is the developer mode option. ![]() |
